Privacy policy

This page explains what information The Gourmet Vacation collects through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We keep it simple: we only ask for what we need to plan and run your journey.

What we collect

When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the journey you're asking about, and your message.
When you join our list: your email address.
When you book: the names, email addresses and phone numbers of the travelers, your city and country, your room and payment plan, and a record of your payments.
Traveler details you choose to share: dietary needs and allergies, drinks you enjoy, celebrations, room and bed preferences, mobility needs, the name on your passport and an emergency contact.

We do not store card numbers. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, who processes them securely on our behalf.

How we use it

To answer your questions and send you the information you asked for.
To confirm and manage your booking, take payments and send reminders.
To plan your journey: we share only what's needed (for example names, rooming, dietary needs and allergies) with the hotels, restaurants, chefs, guides and drivers looking after you on the trip.
To send news about upcoming journeys, if you joined our list. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We never sell your information.

Cookies

This website uses a small cookie to keep forms secure and to keep our team signed in to the admin area. If we use website analytics, it helps us understand which pages are useful; it does not identify you personally.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as we need them for the journey, our accounts and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your contact details or traveler preferences at any time, unless we must keep them for a booking or by law.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email us at Richard@thegourmetvacation.com and we'll help.
